Daily Mass
Question from Tommy Borskey on 2/9/2018:

Is watching the daily Mass on TV the same as being at the Mass in person?

Answer by Judie Brown on 2/19/2018:

Tommy

Here is an answer to your question from Catholic Answers:

If illness prevents you from attending Mass, you are dispensed from the Sunday/holy day obligation. Watching Mass on the Internet or TV does not fulfill the obligation or "prevent you from sinning," but it can allow the homebound to participate in the holiness of the day in some way. This is not the same thing as attending Mass though, so if Mass is important to you, you might want to think about asking your doctor to help you take more pro-active steps in overcoming your anxiety and claustrophobia.
