Question from anonymous on 4/27/2017:

Can a protestant minister turn the bread and wine into the body and blood of Christ during their services? If they can't, what is the reason?

Answer by Richard Geraghty on 4/27/2017:

Dear Anon,

Protestant ministers do not claim to have this power. Only the Catholic Church makes this claim for her priests. It is based on Christ's words at the Last Supper.

Dr. Geraghty
