end of life
Question from mv on 1/23/2017:

Dear EWTN,

One of my relatives has a question regarding the Church teachings on end of life.

Her mother is over 80years old and has Alzheimer’s disease to such extent she needed to be transferred to an assistance care facility.

As part of the paperwork they are asking her in the event her mother has a heart attack or seizure and her heart stops does she want her file to state “ Do not resuscitate”.

She is troubled by this decision and needs to understand Church teachings.

Thank you for your guidance.

Peace.

Maria Vidal
