Cross
Question from Wondering on 2/7/2003:

is it ok for a Catholic to wear a cross, not a crucifix? some relatives want to give me a gift for my birthday, but a crucifix is much more expensive than a cross. Would it be wrong for me to give them a cross, instead of a crucifix? thanks

Answer by Colin B. Donovan, STL on 2/15/2003:

Yes, it is alright for a Catholic to wear a cross.
