Four Way Medal
Question from Tim Anderson on 1/16/2006:

What is the history and meaning behind the Catholic Four Way Medal? What are the four medals contained within it? Thanks and God Bless

Answer by Matthew Bunson on 1/21/2006:

The four medals are: the Sacred Heart, Mary (or sometimes the Miraculous Medal), St. Christopher, and St. Joseph. The design is intended to unite four of the most beloved medals into one elegant design, and various versions surmount them around the image of the Holy Spirit. Readers with their own perspectives are encouraged to write.
