Dubuque, Bishop Matthias Loras. Then Fr. Wolfe visits with a parish farm
family and then with Fr. John O'Connor, the current pastor of the church |

that moved into the area and how their architecture gave these churches
distinctive features. Fr. Wolfe also interviews Fr. John O'Connor about
the church of St. Boniface.
FAITH IN THE HEARTLAND: Ep. 4 (30 min) Fr. Joseph M. Wolfe takes a look at the Basilica of
St. Francis Xavier in Dyersville, Iowa. The only rural basilica in the
United States, St. Francis is a jewel in the heartland. Fr. Joseph is
joined by the director of the basilica Msgr. Edward Petty.

their examination of the history of the Basilica of St. Francis Xavier
in Dyersville, Iowa. The Basilica of St. Francis Xavier is a beautiful
expression of the church's wonder. Fr. Wolfe also interview Fr. Loras
Otting and a local farming family. |
