The Catholic Church has faced persecution throughout its history and this persecution has intensified in modern times. Lord David Alton and his guests examine the different areas around the world where Christianity is attacked. This has resulted in the deaths of millions, but also strengthened the faith of those that remain.
Bio
Lord David Alton is a British politician. He is a former Liberal Party and later Liberal Democrat Member of Parliament who now sits as cross bench member of the House of Lords. He was made a Life peer as Baron Alton of Liverpool, of Mossley Hill in the County of Merseyside in 1997. He is noted for his opposition to abortion.
