They did it. Even on their pilgrimage. They brought their earthly experiences with them; some of them seeking distractions. But aren’t we all the same? What Johnny did today, might I not do tomorrow? 

Now they really begin their pilgrimage... That is why Christ came: to save and heal. On that very day, they walk the path of the Messiah, where he suffered his Passion for us, to purchase us back from eternal justice. They will follow the Way of the Cross-- this devotion that repeats the walk of Jesus from His judgment to His execution.
