During Christmas night 496 AD, at midnight, it was that the King, the Queen and their following were reunited in the Cathedral of Rheims, the holy Bishop Remi addressed himself directly to the King who said:
“Learn, my son, that the kingdom of France is predestined by God for the defense of the Roman Church which is the only true Church of Christ.
“This kingdom will be a great day among all the kingdoms!
“And it will embrace all the limits of the Roman Empire!
“And it will submit all the peoples to its scepter!
“It will last until the end of time!
“It will be victorious and prosper as long as it remains faithful to the Roman faith!
“It will be rudely chastised every time it is unfaithful to its vocation”
