Dan - philosophizing about the trip

Visiting Pain de Vie is a once in a life experience I didn't know these lay communities existed in the Catholic Church.

Today I learned about the consecrated virgin I did know that exist but I met some woman today who – there's not just a calling for a priest or married person but there's also calls for a single life and a consecrated virgin. And the woman who we met today did not want to be married apparently she did not want to be a nun but she wanted to give herself as a consecrated virgin to Jesus and she did that. And again that's inspiring to know that there is more than one calling there's not just to calling there's many callings in life. And they have represented here all kinds of people and all kinds of different callings and it was just really nice to see.

The trip has been intense, it has been an opportunity for me to get closer to God. And I came really wanting to see up a lot of being just a major tourist sites and we haven't had a chance to do that but it has been so much better. Praying with the monks is incredible see in how those people live too just blew my mind. These men every minute of every day is focused on praying and praying for us and praying for the Church and again coming here it was just – I don't how to describe the it is really, it is just moving. That is only way I can describe this trip it's really moving and it's really nice to see that are so many people have given their total life to God. And in America and where I live you can count them on one hand. In this whole trip we have seen the different forms of expression of people giving honor and glory to God and giving their total like the God.

From here I'm going to go to Rome and I am going to see the center of the Catholic Church and I am going to learn about my faith even more. I learned so much about my faith not only from the other pilgrims but from the places we have seen and going to Rome of a learned even more. In the other big thing that I am receiving out of this trip is we have one Franciscan priest for 30 people and we have his total devoted time for two weeks. And take advantage of going to confession and going to Mass every day is something that it's great that is something shouldn't be taken for granted and again even that is an opportunity of lifetime.
