1¼ cups white sugar
¾ cup brown sugar
½ cup milk
¼ cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups pecan pieces



Combine sugars and milk, mixing until smooth. Cook over medium heat until soft ball stage. Tip- take a bit of the mixture on a fork and drop into a cup of water. If it forms a ball it has reached the soft ball stage and is done. Remove from heat, add butter, vanilla and pecans. Beat until creamy. Portion onto wax paper and allow to set up.
