Pan Roasted Game Hens

Matthew 23:37

37 “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, killing the prophets and stoning those who are sent to you! How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you would not!”




1-2 Game hens, cleaned and halved
Fresh Rosemary
Garlic powder
Salt & pepper
Olive oil
90 second rice (chicken flavored)
1 cup White wine




Preheat oven to 350. Clean and cut hens in half.

Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder.

Heat olive oil and butter over medium heat.

Place in hot pan skin down for 7-8 minutes on each side.

Place chickens on a sheet pan and sprinkle with fresh rosemary.

Place in oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until juices run clear when chicken is poked with a fork.

For Rice: cook rice in microwave according to instructions.

Heat olive oil and butter in a pan and flavor oil with rosemary

Add white wine and simmer until alcohol loses its strong smell.

Add salt, pepper & parsley. Add cooked rice and stir
