THE BLESSED JOHN PAUL II SHRINE

I have spent a wonderful day here in D.C., visiting the new Blessed John Paul II Shrine. Many of you probably knew this as the John Paul II Cultural Center and perhaps had even visited it while in Washington. The new owners, the Knights of Columbus, have many new and interesting plans for the shrine and I’ll be dedicating time and attention to that in coming days and weeks as I get new information, etc.

I’ll tell you a bit more about that visit tomorrow and accompany it with photos.

I just finished recording “Vatican Insider” and will tell you about my guest in tomorrow’s column as well.

An unexpected invitation just came in and so I will make this a very brief “Joan’s Rome” and see you back here tomorrow.

Have a great day (or evening, depending on where you are when you read this!)
