On 26 November 2005, the Holy Father spoke in the Vatican's Consistory
Hall to the first group of Bishops from Poland in Rome for their ad
limina visit. Christian education was the theme of his address. "The
formation of the young generation is a task incumbent on parents, on the
Church and on the State." To this end, the Holy Father called on the
Church to collaborate closely with schools, universities and other lay
institutions.

On 3 December 2005, in the Vatican's Consistory Hall, the Holy Father
spoke to a second group of Polish Bishops making their ad limina
visit to Rome in 2005. The Holy Father spoke on the new evangelization,
outlining the different responsibilities of the Bishops, priests,
religious orders, and laity.

On 17 December 2005, in the Vatican's Consistory Hall, the Holy Father
spoke to a third group of Polish Bishops currently making their ad
limina visit to Rome. In his address, the Pope focused on the role
of the laity in the parish community and in the new evangelization.
