EWTN begins its live coverage of Pope John Paul II’s visit to Mexico with his arrival at the International Airport in Mexico City. EWTN will broadcast continuous coverage of the Holy Father throughout the day and conclude with his transfer in the Popemobile to the Apostolic Nunciature.

Solemn Mass from Our Lady of Guadalupe Basilica. Publication and delivery of the Post-synodal Apostolic Exhortation.
Day 2 of the Holy Father’s Visit to Mexico begins with the Solemn Mass from the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City. The daily events conclude with Pope John Paul II’s publication and delivery of the Postsynodal Apostolic Exhortation.

Arrival in helicopter to Autodromo Hermanso Rodriguez Racetrack.
Day 3 begins with Pope John Paul II’s arrival via helicopter to Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez racetrack. He will travel along the racetrack to greet the expected 5 million who have gathered to see him an attend this special Papal Mass. The Pope will also visit the sick at the Adolfo Lopez Mateos Hospital.

Day 4 begins with Pope John Paul II’s arrival via the Popemobile at Axteca Stadium. The Holy Father will meet with representatives of every generation of this century in a symbolic act of unity as the Church prepares for the New Millennium.

EWTN will continue coverage of Pope John Paul II’s arrival and welcome ceremony at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport in St. Louis, Missouri. Archbishop Justin Rigali, President Bill Clinton, and members of the St. Louis community are expected to attend. The Holy Father then departs for the Archbishop’s residence via the Popemobile. Pope John Paul II will conclude the day by attending the "Light of the World Papal Youth Gathering" at the Keil Center, a sport complex in St. Louis.

EWTN’s final day of Papal coverage begins with the Solemn Papal Mass at Transworld Dome in St. Louis, Missouri. The Pope departs for lunch with the Bishops and Cardinals at the Archbishop’s residence. In the evening, the Holy Father will travel to the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis for Evening Prayer and a speech. Final Papal coverage concludes with the Pope’s departure ceremony at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport. Archbishop Justin Rigali, Vice President Al Gore, and members of the St. Louis community are expected to attend.
