The Holy Father will celebrate the
Solemn Mass at Amman
Stadium in Amman, Jordan followed by a farewell ceremony at the Amman Airport.
The Holy Father will then depart for the Tel Aviv Airport, where he will address
those present for the Welcome Ceremony.

Wednesday, March 22nd

Pope John Paul II will be present at a Welcome Ceremony
in Bethlehem followed by Solemn Mass in Manger Square in front of the
Basilica of the Nativity in Bethlehem. The Holy Father will then visit
the Deheisha Refugee
Camp, where he is to meet with Yasar Arafat. The
day will end with the Pope greeting those present at the Departure
Ceremony as he departs from Bethlehem to Jerusalem.

Thursday, March 23rd

The Holy Father will celebrate a
Private Mass in the Last Supper Chapel followed by visits with two chief
rabbis and the President of Israel. Pope John Paul II will then proceed
to Yah Vashem (Holocaust Museum) to visit the Hall of Remembrance. The
day will end with the Pope meeting with representatives from various
inter-religious groups.

Friday, March 24th -- 2AM: John Paul II and
the Sick: The Value of Suffering
Pope John Paul II will celebrate a
Solemn Mass for Youth at the Domus Galilaeae on the Mount of the
Beatitudes at Korazim. A crowd of over 50,000 is expected to attend this
Mass. The Holy Father will then have three private visits to the Church
of the Multiplication of the Loaves and the Church of the Primacy of
Peter both of which are in Tabgha,
and the Shrine of the House of St. Peter in Capernaum. The Pope will end
his day by departing for Jerusalem.

Saturday, March 25th
– 2AM: Pilgrimage to the Holy Land
On the Feast of the Annunciation,
Pope John Paul II will pray in the Grotto of the Annunciation followed
by Solemn Mass at the Basilica of the Annunciation in Nazareth.
In the afternoon, the Holy Father
will greet the Consul General of the Apostolic delegation in Jerusalem
followed by a private visit to the Basilica of the Garden of Gethsemane.
The day will conclude with an ecumenical encounter in the Throne Room of
the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem.

Sunday, March 26th

LIVE Coverage
The Holy Father will make two
visits prior to the Mass, one to the grand Mufti and the other to the
Western Wall in Jerusalem. The Pope will then proceed to celebrate
Solemn Mass in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem immediately
followed by the recitation of the Angelus. Pope John Paul II will meet
with the Patriarchs and Bishops in the Latin Patriarchate in Jerusalem.
In the early evening, the Holy Father will address those gathered at the
Farewell Ceremony at the Tele Aviv Airport, as his historic Papal Visit
to the Holy Land will conclude.
