PAPAL VISIT SCHEDULE

( EWTNews) Beginning Monday, Pope John Paul II will make his second pilgrimage to the Middle East. Thirty-six years ago, as a young archbishop from Poland, the Holy Father journeyed with other bishops to the Holy Land, a 10-day visit that left him in awe over "places that are the most sacred in this world."

The first stop of the Pope’s visit is Amman, Jordon. In preparation, city workers in Amman have hung flags and banners in the yellow and white Papal colors to welcome the Holy Father. One banner reads "Jordan loves the Pope."
