TITLE: Graphic Designer
LOCATION: Irondale, Alabama (Relocation required)
FLSA STATUS: Full-time, exempt
GENERAL SUMMARY: Performs moderately complex graphics design and consultation work for printed material. This includes design, lay out, and illustration using state-of-the-art computer hardware and software methods and procedures. Software includes but is not limited to Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Illustrator, and QuarkXpress. Required to work under moderate supervision and has moderate latitude for using personal initiative and independent judgment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Designs and produces graphic
material for print media.
2. Conducts and/or participates in planning, development, and
production of graphics.
3. Coordinates printing requirements with printers to ensure
quality and cost effective delivery.
4. Ensures accuracy of all 'proof' material prior to actual
production.
5. Regular and prompt attendance.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
1. Additional duties as
assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Four-year degree or equivalent in
Fine Arts or Graphic Design
- Minimum two or three years
experience with Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Illustrator, QuarkXpress in
a graphics design environment.
