JOB SUMMARY
TITLE: Marketing Support
Specialist
LOCATION OF JOB: Irondale, Alabama
FLSA STATUS: Full-time,
Non-exempt
GENERAL SUMMARY: Responsible for
the organization and timely execution of all marketing support tasks and
assists in the development of ongoing relationships with individuals at
affiliated and nonaffiliated media companies (i.e. distributors such as
cable television operators, television and radio broadcast stations,
direct-to-home satellite providers), as well as with viewers, network
supporters, general public, and Church organizations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Coordinates outbound
communications (telephone calls, faxes, email, letters, mail, bulk
mailings) and receives and responds to (or refers) inbound
communications from affiliates, non-affiliates, viewers, volunteers,
vendors and other members of the general public in a timely and
professional manner.
2. Personally meets with vendors
and any others who may be of assistance in marketing the Network, as
directed; monitors inventory of marketing literature/premiums
available and requests new materials as needed.
3. Prepares and/or executes
plans for Network participation in trade conventions and other
events; includes communications with other companies, timely
completion of paperwork, and accurate shipment of supplies.
4. Regular and prompt
attendance.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
1. Additional duties as
assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- College graduation or equivalent
experience in marketing, customer service, and public relations.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and
written communications skills, including professional tact and
courtesy when meeting or talking on the telephone.
- Ability to organize tasks, coordinate
multiple projects simultaneously, work independently, research
information, analyze problems and select proper action.
