The Holy Father will become a Great Jubilee pilgrim himself, visiting the Holy Sites in Israel, Jordan and the Palestinian territories.

Tentative Itinerary:

Visit to the monastery on Mount Nebo, where Moses died and is buried, hidden these last 3200 years.

Holy Mass at an outdoor stadium in the capital city of Amman

Holy Mass in Bethlehem

Holy Mass on the Mount of the Beatitudes in Galilee

Holy Mass in the Annunciation Basilica in Nazareth

Holy Mass in the Cenacle (the Upper Room) in Jersualem

Holy Mass in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre

An ecumenical meeting with the leaders of all the Christian churches of the Holy Land.

A visit to the Western Wall of the ancient Temple, and a meeting with Jewish religious authorities

A visit to the al Aq'sa Mosque on the Temple Mount, and a meeting with Islamic religious authorities.
