Shillong Archdiocese deeply mourned the death of His Holiness Pope John Paul II |

| The Seng Samla Cathedral Parish(SSCP) a Youth Association of The Cathedral Parish of Mary Help of Christians, Shillong Archdiocese deeply mourned the death of His Holiness Pope John Paul II. The Youth of Shillong in general and the Parish in particular recall the visit of His Holiness to Shillong very fondly.We will never forget the historical visit of His Holiness. It maybe just for a few hours but the memories that he left behind will always be cherished and revere. We are so grateful to His Holiness to consider the youth as an important part of his apastolic mission in 27 years ofhis Papacy and we pray for the eternal repose of his soul. For us he is already a Saint and Pope John Paul the Great. We pray the the Lord almighty will give us a new Pope with a great vision and a man of peace.
