Los Angeles Visit
The world has lost a great man; and a shepherd. I was recovering from foot surgery when John Paul II... was visiting in Los Angeles, California. I watched him on television all day. I could feel his warmth and strength... and the special spirit around him. That night, I discovered a lump in my left breast... it was cancerous. I had major surgery and chemotherapy. I am a cancer-free survivor for the past 19 years. I was not catholic then but I am now. I believe, that, I was touched by the spirit of God in John Paul II. My Deepest Sympathy and a deep-felt sorrow; even though, I realize he is home with God; I will miss him. I admired him greatly for his authenticity and child-like faith.
