I must say that there are only two other people who's deaths have affected me in this manner: that of my maternal grandmother, and that of our first child. I have found myself equally devasted by the loss, and understanding of those feeling somewhat bewildered and "lost". John Paul II has led the church my entire adult life. In reflecting on my thoughts after the death of our first child, I recall finally coming to an understanding that it is ultimately God's will, and in His hands, that these things come to pass. We are often not meant to understand or fathom these things. Hence, the simple directive "Have faith!!". Difficult words to live after loosing our Papa.....yet we must. And likewise, we must move on, in prayer, to the next stage which God, in his infinite wisdom, has prepared for us. Thus the subject matter of this condolence. Pray brethren; pray fervently and without ceasing that Almighty God, in his infinite mercy will shine eternal light upon the Holy Father.....and, more importantly, that the Lord will move his Holy Spirit upon the hearts of the Cardinals and lead them to wise and right decisions regarding His choice for the next pope. May God go with us all....
