Baby Jesus' Manger
Advent:
 

For large manger: Wooden crate or fruit basket Straw or yellow yarn Doll wrapped in a white cloth or Baby Jesus statue

1. Cut pieces of yarn or straw the length of crate or fruit basket.

2. Fill all at once or add a yarn or straw for each Advent good deed.

3. On Christmas, place the doll or statue in the manger.
 

For tiny manger: 2-inch piece of paper towel roll, cut in half lengthwise Glue Straw or yellow yarn Baby Jesus figure or unshelled peanut Piece of cotton from unrolled cotton ball Black ink pen

1. Glue paper towel roll pieces back to back to form manger.

2. Clamp with fingers or clothespins until glue dries.

3. Cut yarn or straw to appropriate length.

4. Fill all at once or add a yarn or straw for each Advent good deed.

5. To make a Baby Jesus figure, draw a face on one end of the peanut.

6. Apply glue to middle and other end.

7. Wrap with cotton, adding more glue to hold cotton closed.
